After an accident in 2016, ongoing inflammation, hormonal changes, and chronic pain became part of Nita Pope’s daily life. What began as a desire to feel better evolved into a long-term commitment to Clean. Through Clean 7s, Clean 21s, and guided community resets, Nita found structure, clarity, and a supportive path forward. Her story is a reminder that healing happens in layers, and that with the right education and community, meaningful change is possible at any stage of life.
For many people, wellness begins when the body starts asking for support more clearly. For Nita Pope, that moment came after years of navigating inflammation, pain, and the long-term impact of a serious accident in September 2016 that affected her neck, back, and shoulders. As structural challenges and discomfort became part of her daily reality, supporting inflammation and overall resilience became increasingly important.
At one point, surgery felt like a real consideration due to how much inflammation was affecting her body. Over time, however, Nita discovered that consistently supporting her body through the Clean 21-day gut reset helped her better manage how she felt day to day. By focusing on nourishing her body and reducing inflammatory triggers, she experienced a noticeable shift in comfort and stability, allowing her to feel more supported as she continued caring for her body alongside her broader health decisions.

That experience became a major reason she continues to return to Clean. As she explains, “That’s a big reason, structurally, I continue.” For Nita, Clean was never about a quick fix. It was about creating the cleanest possible internal environment so her body could respond more effectively to the demands placed on it.
At the same time, Nita was navigating hormonal changes, emotional eating, and the natural transitions that come with aging. “Now at my age, the hormones are getting weird,” she shares, noting that despite these shifts, she has never experienced hot flashes, something she attributes in part to staying consistent with the program.
What began as curiosity and a desire to feel better evolved into something deeper. Through Clean 7, Clean 21, and guided community resets, Clean became a source of structure, clarity, and confidence. It offered education without overwhelm, support without pressure, and a community that made the process feel approachable rather than isolating.
In this conversation with Jess from the Clean team, Nita reflects on how she found Clean, what it has given her physically and emotionally, and why she believes healing happens gradually, in layers, when the right support system is in place.
Nita has always been interested in wellness, but her decision to join Clean came during a time when her body was clearly asking for support. Hormonal changes were beginning, inflammation was present, and she recognized patterns of emotional eating that no longer felt aligned.
Even now, she reflects on how supported her body feels during times of transition. “Now at my age, the hormones are getting weird,” she shares. “I’ve never had any hot flash. Again, part of it’s due to doing the program. I’ve never had a hot flash.”
When she first discovered Clean, she was drawn to the group reset experience. It felt like a thoughtful entry point rather than an extreme shift. “I love this field and I love trying things out and I want to feel better,” she explains. “I have structural issues and inflammation and just probably eating emotionally during that time. So I did the first group reset and it was amazing.”
What stood out immediately was the sense of shared intention. “I love the camaraderie. I love my like minded people trying to better themselves,” she says, noting how important it was to feel supported from the beginning.
After completing her first group reset, Nita felt motivated to continue. What started as a single experience quickly became a longer commitment to caring for her body.
“I even did a kit back to back,” she recalls. “So after the reset, I did another 21 days. And that’s where I was like, wow.”
Jess asked her about the experience of doing Clean 21 back to back, a question many in the Clean community often wonder about. For Nita, the answer was rooted in how her body responded. “I’ve done a couple of them back to back because it was an amazing experience for me,” she explains. “I kind of try to stay on this track. I like the way it makes me feel.”
She describes the feeling of being clean in a way that is difficult to articulate until it is experienced. “If you don’t know what your body feels like clean, you won’t ever get it,” she says. “You walk two feet higher than the ground. You have clarity, focus.”
Importantly, she challenges one of the most common fears people have around resets. “It’s not deprivation,” she emphasizes. “I’m not camping out by the toilet.” Instead, she found a process that felt supportive and dignified, grounded in nourishment rather than restriction.
For Nita, a reset is not just about what she eats, but how she shows up for herself during the process. When her body feels out of balance, she becomes even more intentional.
“I like to make my food look good,” she says, “because in a time like this where everything is kind of out of whack, the body’s going crazy, I want the food to look good and I want to feel like it’s something special.”
That sense of intention helps her stay grounded. “It really is something special to me,” she adds, “because it’s getting me to the other side or getting me through.”
Her approach reflects a deeper understanding of wellness as a holistic experience, one that includes emotional support, mental clarity, and self respect alongside physical nourishment.
Living in a Florida retirement community, Nita sees daily examples of how aging can affect the body. Pain, arthritis, and inflammation are common, and many people feel discouraged by the changes they experience. For her, Clean has become a way to navigate these realities with balance and compassion.
“It’s about the balance,” she explains. “It’s about being able to treat yourself well.”
She also speaks openly about the deeper healing that can happen during a reset. “Sometimes when we do that, it opens something,” she says. “The healing crisis shows you that something else is going on a little deeper.”
These moments, she believes, are not setbacks but signals. “The layers are coming off a little bit,” she explains, “and then it’s opening up for something else to be healed.”
Being part of a group reset and having access to coaching made these experiences feel safe rather than alarming. Without that context, she knows many people might assume something is wrong. With support, the process becomes empowering.
When asked about her experience with the Clean team, Nita highlights consistency, responsiveness, and empathy. “I’ve always gotten great service,” she says. “Sometimes it’s the same day, maybe the next day, but you’re not left stranded.”
She values the understanding she receives from the people supporting her. “The empathy and the compassion of what we’re going through,” she notes, “they’re very good at guiding us.”
For Nita, Clean stands out because of the heart behind it. “A lot of companies don’t have the heart and the passion, the soul invested in their company,” she says. “That’s another difference. That’s an A plus thing. Five stars.”
One of the most significant shifts in Nita’s journey has been learning to trust the process fully. In a world saturated with wellness information, Clean has given her a sense of certainty.
“Everything’s done for you,” she explains. “That’s my biggest joy. I trust Dr. Junger. I trust the team. I’ve delegated that out.”
Because of that trust, she no longer second guesses her choices. “I can buy anything without wondering if it’s going to upset my stomach or make me have jitters,” she says. That confidence allows her to focus on healing rather than endless research.
She acknowledges that while researching health topics can feel empowering, it can also lead people astray. Without proper context, information can be misunderstood. For her, Clean provides clarity in an otherwise overwhelming space.
Nita is passionate about helping others experience what she has, though she understands why many people hesitate. Fear of discomfort, fear of change, and misconceptions about cleansing often hold people back.
“A lot of people don’t want to change,” she says honestly. “They have this idea that I’m going to be camping out by the bathroom.”
She believes much of that fear is rooted in mindset and lack of education. “A lot of it’s mindset,” she explains, especially when people experience caffeine withdrawal or early adjustment symptoms.
Her message is simple and grounded. “If somebody is willing to make a change,” she says, “they need to start somewhere.”
In her view, starting with a program that is already designed, researched, and supported makes the journey easier. “It would be better to just start with the best,” she adds, “because it’s easy. It’s already done.”
Nita does not believe in quick fixes. She sees healing as a long term relationship with the body. “Healing isn’t a fast track,” she explains. “It didn’t take us 60 years to get here.”
Instead, she embraces patience and consistency. “It comes in layers,” she says, “and it comes in the willingness to keep going.”
Small daily rituals help her support her body through pain, early arthritis, and inflammation. Music, movement, nourishing food, and intentional routines all play a role in how she cares for herself.
When asked if she would change anything about her journey with Clean, her answer is clear.
“I wouldn’t change anything.”

Nita’s journey is a reminder that healing does not have to be rushed, extreme, or done alone. It can begin with one decision, one reset, and a community that understands what it means to support the body through change.
Throughout the year, Clean offers guided community resets, including one in January, where education, structure, and real human support come together. Whether someone is just starting out with a Clean 7 or ready to explore a Clean 21, these resets provide a grounded place to begin, reconnect, or deepen an existing practice.
As Nita’s story shows, the path to feeling better often unfolds in layers, and sometimes the most powerful step is simply starting, together.
