Our cleanses are meant to set your body up for success. We have equipped you with the tools to listen to your body and fuel it with the nutrients it needs to thrive. If you are not sure where to start, we are here to help! You can easily keep that good feeling going with our Daily Shake (psst, get 10% off when you subscribe) or our Maintenance Kit. But when we spoke with our health coaches, here are some tips they recommend to keep a Clean lifestyle, after the cleanse.

Clean program and clean 21 is a lifestyle wellness program

                         Keep Taking Those Supplements

It is so vital to continue to nourish your body with the vitamins and minerals it needs to function properly. During both of our cleanses, the 7 and 21-day detoxes, you will have already proven you are committed to healthy eating and fueling your body with the nutrients that it craves. Now that you are in the habit of doing so, it should quickly become second nature to take these key supplements daily.  Probiotic pills and natural, clean supplements such as our Cultivate, Digest, and Eliminate products are going to continue to support healthy digestion, boost immunity, pain relief, and support your overall health. From EPA and DHA supplements to Magnesium and Zinc, we have all the essentials to keep your body healthy and help you stay on the right track! Taking these supplements is not limited for those who are currently participating in our Clean 7 or Clean 21 cleanses, though they are included in our cleansing packages. Listen to your body and talk to your doctor to see which supplements are right for you or schedule a free 20-minute session with one of our very own licensed health coaches here at Clean.

 Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate

During a cleanse, it is common for you to feel thirstier than usual, as your body is detoxing and removing all the toxins out of your body. You might find yourself constantly reaching for your water bottle during a cleanse, which is a great habit to bring into your daily routine once your cleansing period has been completed. Our bodies are primarily comprised of water, in fact, about 60% of our bodies are water! It is recommended that you consume at least half of your body weight in water every single day and it is a vital part of a healthy lifestyle. So, make sure you are staying hydrated! Hydration is key to regulating body temperature, preventing infections, and your body functioning properly.

Make Sure You’re Consuming Enough Protein

Even if you are already following a plant-based diet filled to the brim with leafy greens and fresh fruits, it is still important to fuel your body with protein, daily. During your cleanse, this would have been done with the Daily Shake, which you made using the Clean Program protein powder. After the cleanse has finished, it is a great idea to keep that protein powder on hand and make yourself a daily protein shake for breakfast, or an afternoon snack This is a fantastic way to start the day whether you are detoxing or not and gives you a nice protein boost that will help to keep your appetite satisfied throughout the remainder of the day!

 Get Your Body Moving

The healthy foods that you are eating for breakfast, lunch, and dinner provide your body with the energy it needs to function properly. This energy can then be transferred to activities that you enjoy! Moving your body through yoga, cycling, walking, running, swimming, tennis, or whatever your favored form of exercise is, is a great step to take after you have completed a cleanse. Regular exercise will improve your mood, lower your blood pressure, and improve your overall health. It is a key component of a healthy lifestyle, so even if it is just for 30 minutes a day, it will thank you!

 Minimize Your Daily Caffeine Intake

Who doesn’t enjoy a nice, piping hot cup of coffee in the morning? While you were participating in the cleanse, you will not have drunk any coffee, so it is a good idea to slowly incorporate coffee back into your diet if you wish.

While on the cleanse, or after you’ve successfully detoxed coffee from your system, a great alternative to your morning cup of coffee is matcha. This will still provide you with a source of caffeine to give you that jolt of energy that you are looking for, but with more health benefits and no dreaded afternoon crash. You can make it iced or hot, or even treat yourself to a delicious matcha latte with your favorite milk alternative. Our matcha powder is a great option! It truly is all about having a balanced diet that makes you feel your best and keeps your appetite satisfied, so don’t be too hard on yourself and allow yourself to indulge in a sweet treat every now and then!

A Clean Program cleanse infuses stability, structure, and a ton of good vitamins and minerals into your everyday diet. To keep these healthy habits up when the cleanse is over, start by taking those supplements consistently, drinking a lot of water, making sure your body gets enough protein, moving your body in a way that feels good to you, and ensuring that you are lowering your caffeine intake (copious amounts coffee). You have all the tools to maintain a healthy lifestyle that works for you, you got this!
