Rose Smoothie To Cool Off For Summer

This gorgeous pink smoothie that you’ll love to look at is an excellent way to both hydrate and switch up the flavor of your usual smoothies. This rose smoothie has a unique flavor and benefits digestion and boosts immunity. We love this smoothie on a cleanse to change things up.

A rose smoothie by any other name

Rose tea is incredible for immunity. It has some antibacterial properties that help rid the digestive system of bad bacteria and rebuilds good flora in the gut. Since much of our immunity powers comes from a healthy gut, sipping on this smoothie or adding rose tea to your regular tea rotation can be powerful ways to help your immunity out. By keeping bacteria in the gut balanced and flourishing, rose tea can also help keep away constipation and bloating.

In addition to helping remove toxins and waste by maintaining healthy digestion, rose tea also assists with liver detoxification. It acts as a natural diuretic, meaning it helps flush excess water from the system and increases the rate that our body releases toxins through urination.

Turn the beet around

Beets are another excellent plant-based aid for liver detoxification. They contain a compound called betaine, which encourages the liver to process and remove toxins. Beets are also helpful in protecting bile ducts, which play an important role in detoxification. Since beets are also rich in fiber, they further encourage detoxification by preventing constipation and helping waste move effectively through the body. Specifically, beets contain a fiber known as pectin which is particularly effective at removing toxins from the body.

Raspberries are another excellent source of plant fiber and their water content will help keep you hydrated. They contain compounds called quercetin and gallic acid, which have both been studied for their ability to improve longevity. They are also lower on the glycemic index than most fruits, so while they add a nice dose of sweetness, they won’t spike your blood sugar. This will help ensure you stay fuller longer, maintain consistent energy, and keep your mood steady.
