The Truth About Juicing Vs. Cleansing (Video)

A frequent reason people are scared of going on a cleanse is because they think it is a juice cleanse. They believe they will be only on a liquid diet and probably hungry most of the time. But juicing and cleansing are very different things!

While juicing normally involves drinking vegetable and/or fruit juices only, cleansing can include eating real food. Fresh-pressed juices extract the fiber from the fruits and vegetables and get the remaining concentrated juice. In many cases these can be greatly beneficial and can even complement our detox programs.

In our cleanse programs, on the other hand, it is critical that you get all the nutrients your body needs to function optimally. These include high-quality protein, fiber, carbohydrates from fruits and veggies, among all the phytonutrients you can get from real and whole foods. We consider that obtaining these nutrients from solid and meals and smoothies helps restore balance in your body by providing the nutrients your body sometimes lacks based on our modern diet. By—or inflammatory foods, toxins, and triggers—and restoring what is lacking, repair in your body happens seamlessly.

Plus, our programs are not caloric restrictive, meaning that you can adapt it to your energetic needs depending on your level of activity. Juicing, on the other hand, usually only involved the juice from fruits and veggies, limiting your macronutrient components and overall caloric intake during the day.

Especially when considering our Clean 7 and Clean 21 detox programs, you'll find out that we include a rich diet in real and whole foods every day on top of the fiber and protein-rich smoothies. This means you'll likely not be hungry on our cleanses and will get all the nutrients your body needs.
