Meet The Clean Team

The most supportive team in the world

Founders

Don't worry. Don't hurry.

Dr. Alejandro junger

Medical Doctor, Creator of the Clean Program

Founder of the Clean Program, Dr.Junger was born in Uruguay. He graduated from medical school there in 1990 and moved to New York City for his postgraduate training. He completed three years of training in Internal Medicine at NYU Downtown Hospital and three more years of fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at Lenox Hill Hospital.

The drastic change in lifestyle and diet resulting from his move to New York City soon showed up as irritable bowel syndrome and depression. Becoming a patient of the system he was practicing was such a shock, that it started his journey in search of an alternative solution to his health problems.

His findings are the subject of his first book, Clean: The Revolutionary Program To Restore the Body’s Natural Ability to Heal Itself, where Dr. Junger describes how he became aware of the toxicity of our planet. He also explains how detoxification and cleansing have been around for thousands of years, but the knowledge has been lost, and right now it’s more important than ever to reclaim this information. Most importantly, Clean is a manual for readers to learn how to turn on and work with their own detoxification systems to restore and maintain optimal health.

First Experience on the Clean Program:I felt a bit underprepared for the Elimination Diet part of my pre-cleanse, but once I started the actual cleanse with shakes and supplements it was very easy for me. I did find out afterwards that I'm sensitive to tomatoes and other nightshades, even though I had eaten them for years!

Favorite Shake Recipe: 1 Scoop Nourish (chocolate),1 Scoop Move 1/2 cup frozen blueberries,2 dashes cinnamon and 1 Tbsp. Almond butter, and 8oz of water

Friends & Family I've Coached Through the Clean Program: I took a good friend of mine through the program who is a gourmet chef. Unfortunately he quit after a few days into the program. Then we both did it together a few months later and he stuck with it. He had such a great experience that all he eats and cooks is Clean now! It's amazing how much his habits have changed. His house is now my go-to place for the most delicious Clean food.

That’s been one of my mantras — focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains. - Steve Jobs

"I would like to beg you dear Sir, as well as I can, to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart, and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don't search for the answers now, because you would not be able to live them, and the point is to live everything, Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer"-Rainer Maria Rilke From .

First Experience on the Clean Program: My first experience with Clean really helped me regain control of my health. The routine helped me get back on track with eating well and exercising. After doing Clean, I had so much more energy, and it was consistent throughout the day. Before, that was something I struggled with a lot. I also lost about 8 pounds and felt and looked great. One of the best parts was that my head was clear and I felt grounded and confident!

Robert Domingo

Actually started as a patient of Dr. Junger’s in June 2009. He weighed 240 pounds, was taking two medications for high blood pressure, one medication for high cholesterol, and the doctor he was seeing at the time wanted to put him on diabetes medication for the rest of his life. Dr. Junger put him on the Clean Program during their initial consultation. After 21 days on the program, Robert lost 18.25 lbs, stopped taking the medications, and never reached the diabetic state. After 102 days on a modified program, he had lost over 61 pounds.

Six months after the initial meeting, Robert’s life was completely changed.

Currently, Robert’s major interest is exploring how to live Clean in between detoxification programs. He enjoys creating spontaneous, yet disciplined forms of work and play, being in nature, creative expression in all forms, and the challenge of bringing full presence to all situations.

First Experience on the Clean Program: I did the CLEAN Program as a patient of Dr. Junger's in 2009. Under Dr. Junger's care, I was able to stop the prescription medications I was taking for high blood pressure and high cholesterol, and I didn't have to start diabetes medication.

It was in the cold Northern winter months and I invented warm shakes (Nourish and Move mixed with almond butter, some green powders, cinnamon and hot water) which kept me happy cleansing in the cold! I've done the program countless times since, constantly experimenting and always discovering new levels of the journey.

Favorite Shake Recipe: I call it the Grasshopper; it's mint chocolate deliciousness and so energizing and cleansing. 3/4 of a mason jar full of coconut or almond milk, 2-3 Tablespoons of almond butter, a few macadamia nuts (for crunch and creaminess), a heaping spoonful of Clean Greens or spiraling, several large squirts of liquid mint flavored chlorophyll, and a handful of local organic greens (chard, spinach or kale). Blend until smooth and creamy. Yum!

Friends & Family I've Coached Through the Clean Program: I've coached a large handful of friends and some family members through the cleanse and they've all loved it. Sometimes they're nearby so I can make meals for them which I love! It's amazing to see their transformations and witness their excitement; to see people you love reach new and incredible levels.

First Experience on the Clean Program: My favorite thing about my first 21 day cleanse was gaining a better understanding of what works well for my body. Post-cleanse, I realized I have a gluten sensitivity which has really changed my diet and my energy levels!
