Metagenics, our manufacturer, is the only supplement manufacturer that is TRIPLE GMP CERTIFIED. Good Manufacturing Practices is a third party agency that certifies companies for their processing, manufacturing and equipment quality. It is NOT a requirement right now in The United States that companies manufacturing natural medicines be GMP certified, however, Metagenics holds the highest GMP certification available. Triple GMP certification is comprised of three separate agencies that all have different rigorous standards. Metagenics must meet these standards on a regular basis- The Natural Products Association (NPA), The National Sanitary Foundation (NSF) and The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
The Clean Program’s manufacturer, Metagenics, is the only company in the industry to be triple GMP certified. Further, the TGA is the Australian equivalent to the FDA and has more strict standards than the FDA concerning supplements and natural medicines. The Clean Program trusts Metagenics’ products over all of the competitors because of the thorough audits they undergo yearly from these third party agencies. Many companies say that they are “complying with GMP standards” or even that they “exceed GMP standards” but Metagenics is the only company that is actually triple GMP certified.
Controlled Environment and Testing:
This certification guarantees quality for many reasons. For example, a GMP certification allows the FDA to inspect the Metagenics facilities at anytime. If the FDA finds anything that is questionable, the company must change it immediately, or be closed down. Our manufacturer chooses to put these rigorous inspections on itself in order to gain the trust of health care practitioners. When ingredients from other manufacturers arrive on the premises of Metagenics processing plants, they are kept in quarantine until all quantities have been tested for label accuracy – whatever goes into our products is EXACTLY what the label says it is. This is a requirement of GMP certification, but NOT of The United States government. Our manufacturer also has a $40,000 water filtration system that it had installed in order to be compliant with GMP certification. Most other supplement manufacturers use tap water. Our manufacturer seeks to put the highest standards of inspection on its product, and takes precautions that are not required by law, because it is the right thing to do. This, we feel, is the true meaning of Quality.
